Welcome to the official EUROSAF International Sailing Academy, a premium high-performance center established in collaboration with the Government of Murcia.
Based at the world-renowned CAR Región de Murcia (Los Alcázares), our academy offers over 30,000 m² of elite sports infrastructure specifically designed for international athletes.
The facility features a permanent medical center, specialized physiotherapy, a 300-person residence, targeted athletic nutrition, and state-of-the-art sports pavilions.
Situated directly on the shores of the Mar Menor—Europe’s ultimate flat-water training and foiling stadium—this venue routinely hosts World and European Sailing Championships.
The EUROSAF Academy serves as the official high-performance home for all European National Sailing Federations. From elite Olympic squads to international youth development programs, we host advanced clinics led by master coaches.
Our training covers everything from tactical development in foundation classes like Optimist and ILCA, to advanced high-speed transitions into the new era of iQFoil and Kiteboarding. This is where the future of sailing trains today.
Technical Leadership & Governance
The EUROSAF Sailing Academy operates under the technical direction of Rafa González, a highly accomplished sailor, elite event organizer, and a key figure in international sailing governance.
With an outstanding career spanning decades, Rafa has served as the Competition Director and International Relations Manager at the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV) for 26 years. His extensive global expertise includes serving as a Council Member at World Sailing and holding the position of Vice-President of EUROSAF for many years.
Under his leadership, the academy guarantees the highest standards of athletic development, international networking, and flawless event organization for fleets worldwide.
